Pictures of Hail Damage in Phoenix

This is guest post from North Valley Mechanical, air conditioning and heating professionals.

This past Tuesday, Arizona residents were bewildered by a freak hail storm. We’ve personally heard stories of broken windshields, dented car frames, roof damage and even broken patio furniture.  Witnesses reported seeing golf ball-sized hail falling on the afternoon of October 4. Look below to see pictures of some of the damage caused by the storm. You’ll also find a video of the hail in action at the bottom of this post.

“Powerful storms thrashed metropolitan Phoenix on Tuesday, with strong winds, hail and drenching rain that closed stretches of freeways, immobilized cars in deep pools of water and knocked a line of power poles onto houses in Mesa.

There were no reports of serious injuries as the weather delivered a double-barreled blast to the Valley, jolting the east and west simultaneously in the middle of the day, then moving into central Phoenix late in the afternoon with blustering winds, rain and lightning that froze operations at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.” Read more
